11th January 2018: – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), represented by WCC and National Instruments (NI) have agreed to collaborate intensively for the development of software defined radio solutions to be applied in future 5th Generation (5G) mobile communications. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) have been signed by the two parties to formalized partnership in developing in- house prototyping of UTM’s innovation in the aforementioned field. Under the agreement, both parties will engage in sharing of knowledge on the application of NI’s tools and equipment for 5G’s researches, primarily via the use of NI’s LabVIEW integrated software development environment.
